Mission and vision

“Index Academic” (IA) is an open access international scientific indexing (ISI) academic journal dedicated to the free publication of original articles in all fields of science and applied research. The main goal is to support the free circulation of knowledge and to strengthen the understanding of theoretical concepts and their practical applications, by:

  1. creating a robust and easily queryable academic database;
  2. systematically indexing articles in international abstracting and citation services;
  3. promoting interdisciplinary and multilingual dialogue at a global level.

Open access policy

All articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution license, allowing the work to be freely shared, distributed, and adapted, provided the source is properly attributed. No processing fees (APC) or publication fees are charged.

Language of publication

Manuscripts can be written in:

  • Romanian language – with title, abstract and keywords in Romanian and English;
  • English language – with title, abstract and keywords in Romanian and English;
  • French language – with title, abstract and keywords in French, Romanian and English;
  • Other language – with title, abstract and keywords in English and the respective language;

Editorial process and review

  • Technical review (writing standards, plagiarism)
  • Editorial decision communicated on average within 4–6 weeks
  • Review and production (formatting, proofreading, DOI assignment)
  • Continuous online publication immediately after acceptance

Ethical norms

IA adheres to the COPE principles and requires:

  • compliance with standards of research and ethical conduct;
  • declaration of conflicts of interest;
  • availability of datasets, where possible.

Indexing and visibility

Articles published in volumes of the Academic Index will have to be assigned the journal’s DOI academic indicator.

Articles are automatically indexed in aggregators, databases, metadata services and major academic indexes.

On request, for fast manual indexing in aggregators, databases, metadata services and major academic indexes, the price is 5 EUR for each indexing.

On request, academic and research institutions can be promoted on special pages of the journal.

Manuscript submission guidelines

The papers must be sent in PDF or Word format as an attachment from the author’s email address to contact@indexacademic.ro.

Additional files (datasets, code, multimedia materials) can be attached to the email message as additional files.
