Edentulous is the absence of dento-periodontal units on the dental arches after the normal age of eruption. The treatment of partial edentulous can be carried out by different methods, such as dental prostheses, dental bridges with support on teeth or dental implants, depending on the case of the individual needs of each patient and the dentist’s recommendation. The aim of the present study was to identify and quantify the incidence of various complications that may occur 5 years after the completion of prosthetic treatment of partial edentulous. The study material was represented by the consultation and treatment files of a group of 123 patients of both sexes, aged between 29 and 74 years, who visited a dental office in Bucharest between February 2020 and February 2023. The information selected from the data sheets was statistically processed with Microsoft Excel 2016. The studied group was predominantly made up of patients with higher education, belonging to the age group 45-54 years, with maxillary edentulous. Dental caries and periodontal diseases were the main causes of missing teeth. Therapeutic success at 5 years was 85.48% for the studied group. Of all the types of prosthetic restorations present, dental bridges had the highest failure rate.
