Humulus lupulus (hop) is a specie used in the brewing industry and in phytotherapy. It has many chemical components with antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal properties, as well as sedative and estrogenic action. Our research tried to evaluate the antibacterial effect of the essential oil of the female flowers, and the anti-biofilm action, through in vitro studies on different strains of bacteria.
