Article Visibility

The indexing or identification of an individual article in an academic service should not be confused with the indexing of the journal as a whole in that service.

Articles published in Index Academic are designed to be discoverable through metadata, DOI, academic search engines, and international bibliographic infrastructures.

Some articles may be individually discoverable in services such as Google Scholar, Web of Science, or other databases and bibliographic systems, depending on the criteria and procedures of each service.

The presence of an individual article in a database does not automatically mean that the Index Academic journal title is fully indexed in that database.

For this reason, this page lists as journal-level indexing only those services for which inclusion of the journal title has been verified.

Google Scholar

Published articles are optimized for discovery through Google Scholar by means of academic metadata, DOI identifiers, individual article pages, and full-text online access.

The presence of articles in Google Scholar search results represents document-level visibility and should not be confused with inclusion of the journal in Google Scholar Metrics.

Where results are available, article pages may provide a direct link to search for the work in Google Scholar.

Web of Science and Other Selective Databases

Some articles published by Index Academic may become individually identifiable in selective bibliographic and citation services.

Such article-level presence is not presented by the journal as evidence that the full journal title is indexed.

When Index Academic is officially accepted at journal level into a selective database such as Web of Science Core Collection, Scopus, DOAJ, or another major academic service, the inclusion will be stated explicitly on this page and, where possible, a link to the official record will be provided.

Bibliometric indicators are provided for informational purposes and depend on the coverage and updating practices of each source.

Values from different services may vary because databases use different methods, sources, and update intervals.

Persistence of the Academic Record

Index Academic aims to maintain permanent access to published articles and the stability of bibliographic identifiers.

An article DOI remains the persistent identifier of the published version even if the technical structure or web address of the journal changes in the future.

Corrections, retractions, or other post-publication editorial changes are made transparently and preserve the connection with the original academic record, in accordance with the Publication Ethics and Best Practices policy.

Updating Indexing Information

The academic services ecosystem is continuously evolving. Index Academic periodically checks the presence of the journal and its articles in international identification, indexing, and discovery services.

The list on this page will be expanded whenever new journal-level inclusions are confirmed.

To avoid ambiguity, Index Academic does not claim full journal indexing in a service solely on the basis of the presence of one or more individual articles.
