In this work we report an efficient immobilization of biomaterial, respectively specific anti-TNT antibodies for the detection of TNT from explosive substances. The immobilization on the gold electrode of the anti-TNT antibodies was performed through a chemical linker, 11-mercapto-undecanoic acid and a biomolecularlinker, Protein A/G. From the electrochemical characterization by impedance it resulted that the immobilization of anti-TNT antibodies by Protein G led to a higher insolation of the gold electrode. The immobilization of Proteins G and A onto gold electrode was demonstrated byEIS, SEMand Ramanspectroscopy. The results obtained are encouraging and show that the Protein G has a higher affinity for an efficient immobilization of anti-TNT antibodies. This functionalized methodapplied to a gold surface of an electrochemical sensor specifically detects TNT.
