The LGBTQ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer/Questioning) population in Romania represents a segment of society facing unique challenges in a nation where social attitudes and legal frameworks are in a constant state of transition. While progress has been made in acknowledging and protecting the rights of LGBTQ individuals, there are still profound disparities and obstacles to full societal inclusion. This paper delves into the multifaceted issues surrounding the mental well-being of LGBTQ individuals in Romania, with a specific focus on the scarcity of published materials addressing their mental health needs. The lack of comprehensive literature and resources tailored to this community poses a significant obstacle to understanding and addressing their mental health disparities.
