The basis of this condition is varicose disease, postthrombotic syndrome and some congenital venous anomalies. The most frequent complications of dreaded symptoms of chronic venous insufficiency syndrome are represented by subcutaneous sclerosis and calf ulcer, the severity of which dominates the clinical picture.
