Brain-computer interfaces (BCIs) are systems that facilitate direct brain-to-machine communication that allow people to control computers and other devices using their thoughts. The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) with BCI has led to significant advances in the field of human-machine interaction. The article presents the current state of BCI-AI technology and the opportunities and challenges of this field. The potential applications of BCI-AI systems such as motor control, communication, diagnosis and treatment of neurological diseases are presented, as well as the challenges of developing reliable and safe BCIs. The ethical implications of BCI and AI are explored, including issues of privacy, autonomy and identity.
