Herein is presented the biosynthesis methods employed in synthesising silver nanoparticles from Artemisia annua L.. Important physico-chemical parameters were determined for the silver nanoparticles obtained after biosynthesis using UV-VIS spectrometry, FTIR, SEM, zeta potential and DLS. The silver nanoparticles were used for soap formulations and the resulting physical chemical parameters were compared to those of a commercial soap. The soaps met the quality standards, with quality parameters being comparable with those of commercial soaps. On further verification of the antibacterial benefits demonstrated in soaps with silver nanoparticles, this could prove a beneficial product for wide consumption.
