Mona Luciana Gălăţanu, Mariana Popescu, Mariana Panţuroiu, Gabriela Costache, Raluca Maria Swoboda, Daniel Cord

Artemisia annua L. and Artemisia dracunculus L. are two indigenous medicinal plants from Asteraceae family, with a large amount of polyphenolic compounds that exert antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antitumor and antibacterial activities. We have analyzed and compared the total flavonoid and polyphenol carboxylic acid content from these two species of Artemisia, through spectrophotometry quantitative analysis.
