This paper explores the differences in the electroencephalographic (EEG) characteristics of two distinct groups of participants, one under 30 and the other over 60. Using a 32-electrode EEG scanning system, we measured and compared electrical brain activity in different regions. The results indicate a significant inverse correlation between age and EEG wave intensity for certain regions, including AF4, F2, CP5, CP1, P4, PO4, PO8, and O2. We observed a significant decrease in activity in delta, theta, beta, high beta and gamma waves, highlighting a decrease in brain activity with age. These findings have important implications for understanding age-related changes in brain function and may serve as a foundation for further research and tailored interventions.
