DENTAL VENEERS AS ESTHETIC REHABILITATION POSSIBILITY OF OROFACIAL FUNCTIONS – CASE REPORT

One of the important function which should be restored in the anterior area of dental arches is represented by the esthetic function. Dental veneers are used to improve the aesthetical function and the resistance of teeth. Laminate veneers are today’s usual rehabilitation procedure for affected anterior teeth. The purpose of this paper is to present a clinical case report of a case with esthetic rehabilitation of damaged teeth through porcelain veneers. The presented particular case depict a challenging situation because of the previously placed zirconia veneers, and because the existence of gingival recession on some natural remaining teeth. The projected veneers presented numerous embrasures and more texture, in order to refract the light in a more natural way. The little “perfect imperfections” helped to create a perfect smile in the eyes of the general public. Since the patient presented bright pink gums and her type Fitzpatrick 2 skin color, all these allowed the shade Bleach 2 to be chosen, along with a subtle translucidities’ of the incisal edge. The rehabilitation of patients with oral dysfunctions is a difficult task for the dentist and should be approached in a multidisciplinary context.
