In recent years, the connection between oral health and cardiovascular diseases has garnered increased attention from researchers and medical professionals. This paper aims to analyze the correlation between oral pathologies and the incidence of cardiovascular diseases, highlighting the necessity of an interdisciplinary approach. Oral pathologies, due to their inflammatory and bacterial nature, can be significant risk factors for cardiovascular diseases. Recent findings suggest that through regular cleaning and periodontal treatments, there is a positive impact on reducing the risk of cardiovascular diseases. In this context, close collaboration between dentists and cardiologists can play a key role in early identification and intervention, contributing to an integrated approach and the optimization of prevention strategies. Continued research is needed to assess the benefits of periodontal interventions on cardiovascular health and to develop integrated clinical guidelines that contribute to improving patient care quality and reducing associated medical costs.
