The therapeutic efficacy of NSAIDs (anti-inflammatory, antipyretic and analgesic) is due to the fact that they can be delivered in various nano-drug delivery systems. NSAIDs such as aspirin and ibuprofen can play a promising role in the prevention and treatment of cancer, but especially in a nano-type formulation. The aim of this experiment was the synthesis of chitosan-based nanoparticles by the method of ionic gelation and the construction of an aspirin-chitosan nanoparticles release system. The nanoparticles were characterized in solution to see if they have the wavelength characteristic of the nano shape by UV-VIS technique, FTIR and also morphologically by SEM method. The synthesis method was optimized by using several concentrations of tripolyphosphate. All methods used for nanoparticles characterization suggested that the shynthetized chitosan nanoparticles were predominantly spherical in shape with a little aggregation and having a size average around 40 nm. Encapsulated aspirin where evaluated also by UV, FTIR and SEM characterization method and all these proving formulation of aspirin in chitosan nanoparticles.
