This paper focuses on the biosynthesis methods used to obtain silver nanoparticles from Arthrospira platensis, also known as Spirulina. The experimental part is aimed towards studying how to ecologically synthesize silver nanoparticles (NP-s-Ag) using the Arthrospira species. NPs-Ag formation during synthesis was characterized using UV-Vis spectrometry, and the resulting data was compared with existing literature. Stabilities of creams with and without NPs-Ag from Spirulina, were also evaluated and compared. It was observed that the cream with silver nanoparticles exhibited greater temporal stability in terms of organoleptic and physico-chemical properties (over 120 days), compared to the cream without nanoparticles.
