Over the years, research has reported the benefits of consuming grapefruit, but also a variety of medications that can interact with grapefruit juice, even when consumed occasionally. Here we present an attempt to find molecular descriptors to distinguish drugs that interact with grapefruit juice from those that do not. Statistical analysis of molecular descriptors and model generation were possible with the IBM SPSS Modeler machine learning tool.
